2011 ARCHIVE - Dharma Diksha Day Celebrations

Dharma Diksha Day, 14th October is the anniversary of the mass conversions to Buddhism that Dr Ambedkar initiated in India in 1956. For Indians born into a lower caste this was a real means of genuine religious uplift and social liberation. The first video is of a talk given by Sanghanath, where he talks about the origins of this celebration, and its significance. This was followed at lunchtime by a special meal (curry, dahl & rice) at which a few people sang the Bodhisatva Song, which is what the second video contains.
