2012 ARCHIVE - Saddharaja - Right Livelihood Talk

The sixth and concluding talk of Saddharaja's talks on Right Livelihood, called - Right Realism, Money, and the Game of Life. He talks about his impressions when visiting India. Its fast developing economy, and the business relationship that has developed between India and the UK over hundreds of years.

He goes on to explore the importance of personal money whilst working in Right Livelihood, and asks whether its possible in modern society to live completely without money. Focusing on a number of extreme views with regard to personal finance that Right Livelihood can fall into. Making some suggestions regarding what a 'Middle Way' might be in a Right Livelihood context, which he calls 'Right Realism'. Identifying four kinds of financial situation Right Livelihood workers are likely to inhabit, and suggesting six ways in which we might develop 'Right Realism'.
