2012 ARCHIVE ~ New Van

After clocking up hundreds and hundreds of miles, our Sales Vans have to be retired and replaced. Quite often this is also an opportunity to consider improvements to the internal layout and conditions within the vans. So fitting them out is given a lot of attention. Here's our newest acquisition.

2013 ARCHIVE ~ Vasubandhu Arrives in Uttaraloka

After much consideration, and no doubt preparation, in January 2013 five men, two of them Vasubandhu and Vajrapriya from Cambridge began a years retreat at Uttaraloka, a new retreat centre in the Spanish mountains near our Ordination Retreat Centre in Guyhaloka. Here they are in an opening ceremony in Uttaraloka's new Shrine space.

2012 ARCHIVE - Autumn Trade Fair

This year we featured our new Renault Sales Van as part of the sales stand at the NEC Autumn Trade Fair. Aiming to promote, in these days of our growing websales, the personal touch of a visit from our Van Sales Team. Who regularly boldly venture out along the motorways, roads and streets of the UK to sell our giftware to local shops, garden centres etc. It looked great!

In September our Regional Van Sales Team received delivery of a new Renault van. Here are as few photos as it was being fitted out before its debut at this years Autumn Trade Show at the NEC.

2006 ARCHIVE - New Style Windhorse Vans - get stocked up

Before our vans go out on a run, the stock lines on show in them have to be reviewed. Lines that are slow sellers, or have gone out of stock are removed, and new stock lines, or lines returning into stock need to be put onto the vans displays. Also, the vans need cleaning after a long van run, and sometimes re-painting internally. So they're brought into the Warehouse during the day, in order that all these things can be updated.

2004 ARCHIVE - Van Sales Team

Our travelling Windhorse Van Showrooms tour the UK at regular three weekly intervals, and in the busy Christmas period the turn around of these visits becomes even more frequent. As this map below shows, the country is divided up into areas that each individual van run covers. Each person in Van Sales will be responsible for one, sometimes two van runs.

With the new company logo and livery, launched the previous year, the old style Van Showrooms with the Windhorse running across its sides, as you can see here, was soon to be updated. But here in 2004 they're still in use, one of the last old style vans.

2006 ARCHIVE - Van Sales Team Retreat - January

A life in Van Sales doesn't often leave much opportunity to go on retreat together as a team. But here are some photos from one in January 2006 during a post Christmas lull, held at Burnham Overy Stathe in Norfolk.
