2011 ARCHIVE - Creating A Lotus Mandala - Part 3

The First Lotus Roundel in place

After week one, where we collectively cut out over 150 Lotus stencils within the ritual context of a Dedication Ceremony, the following week, where we actually spray painted through them to create the Lotus border, was always going to be a more satisfying and meaningful. Here was a sense of completion. Through out the week between, at the end of each day, Vidyavajra sprayed one more Lotus Roundel in the middle of an aisle. The last one being put in place at the end of the second CALM event, thus sealing the freshly minted protective Lotus border.
